Ms. Noland's Background and Education

She was born in Ridgecrest, CA, in the middle of the Mojave Desert. When she was young, she moved across the country to Cleveland, Ohio. She went to high school in Cleveland and then moved back to California where she graduated from Long Beach State University in Long Beach, CA. In 1984, she started teaching mathematics in LA even though her major was in Geology. After five years in LA as a teacher, she moved to Woodacre in Marin County where she lives now with her husband and her three boys. She began teaching in Marin right away; one semester at Redwood, nine years at Tamalpais, and is now in her eighth year in the math department here at Drake High.

Her Hobbies

Her hobbies consist of dance (mostly ethnic), hiking in the beautiful outdoors of Marin, reading books, grading tests from her classes, traveling all over and hanging out with her wonderful family.
