Guarani
Guarani is one of the two main languages
spoken in Paraguay. About 90% of the country speaks Guarani and
about 75% speak Spanish. Most, as you see, can speak both. To
me, Guarani sounds nothing like Spanish, however there are some
words that are the same in both. The word for cow, vaca, is the
same except for a slight sound difference. Here are some words
in both languages:
